Thank you so much for another fantastic week at Boston SAKURA Kids! This week was slightly unusual because our founder was away for a few days, but our co-founder did a great job keeping the fort down! We also welcomed a new volunteer: Karen Matsuoka. We are so excited to have her as part of our team and look forward to seeing her interact with the kids!
The Japanese Language and Culture Program (JLC) is starting tomorrow, and we are very excited! We are finalizing our curriculum, and our volunteers are busy preparing their lessons for the week ahead. Depending on this week, we may continue this during the fall and open this up to more participants!
We are also currently planning for what Boston SAKURA Kids will look like in the fall with school restarting. We are surveying our volunteers to determine their availability, and we also want to hear from you! If you are a current participant, or are interested in participating, please fill out the following survey by Friday, August 21.
